How do I retrieve my progress on the new device?

when setting up Candy Crush on the new device, all progress was lost. I was not a FaceBook member-can I somehow Download progress on my new device? Thank you

    Level 1

    Connect to FaceBook on the previous device (where progress was Made) AND connect through FaceBook on the new device-the Game will synchronize
