What happened to all my boosters?

Woke this morning - Sept 28 - to find all my boosters gone.  Had lots form spinning the daily wheel, lighting the candles on the cake and collecting sugar bombs.  Play mainly on my phone but was literally 'crushed' (pun intended) to find all my boosters gone.

Mine also were deleted...for the third time.  I'm wondering what the purpose of "gifting" us boosters is if they're just going to get deleted?  The last time I asked, I was told that only purchased boosters can be returned (with proof of purchase), but that we are SOL for the gifted boosters.  I was told to that I could turn off the auto-update, but then what happens if I need to move up a level?  I'll have to do a manual update and I'll be in the same boat.  Looks like it's time for a new addiction?
