Why is my message box grey?

i do not have the box for lives to go into so I can use them. I just had to wait 79 hours to move to another level (every time!) and I can not get help from the developer although they say they will email me shortly.  Asked them for help numerous times and they NEVER respond!!!  Any gamer out there have an answer for me and a few others I see?

Have you tried playing Candy Crush on King.com? I have switched recently and have had no issues there.

To sync your King.com account with your Facebook progress just follow these steps:

1) Go to King.com and login then click on settings (cog wheel, top right corner of screen)

2) Choose Account

3) Enter your password

4) Click on Synchronizing/ Connect to Facebook

5) Click on the two arrows to initiate the sync

Once done your progress is synchronized and you should now be able to play and progress without any issues.
