Why do we have to keep losing lives when Candy Crush freezes???

I am getting so tired of the game freezing for some stupid reason or another (and NO it is not my computer--it's the game! Just now it froze when I was using the down arrow to go to lower levels. Now I have to refresh it and will lose all the lives in my envelope! This is totally unfair, and your answer I once read of "candy crush was only meant to be played 5 lives at a time is ridiculous. Why bother asking for lives and getting lives from friends? Your soda crush lets you store the lives, so I know it's possible--you just don't want to do it!
