Will there be an "annoy-o-meter" added for this one? I think there should be.

Why? Don't think anybody else has even mentioned it. As long as you resist the temptation to release the blocked spawners too early there's very little chance of being overwhelmed by the licorice wheels and a steady rate of removing them should get you home.
