The special events don't appear

I have been having troubling playing the special events on this game. They either don't show up at all or disappear long before the scheduled time. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and all that did was cause me to loose all my boosters. I am connected to facebook and do not have this problem with any of my other games. Please help.

If you've updated your game and have an active connection to Facebook or Kingdom and still they don't show up, it'll be because you haven't been selected as not all events go out to everyone, I know as I've not been part of a few and also seen a moderator post on this: https://care.king.com/en/candy-crush-jelly-saga/new-feature-not-showing-in-your-game-more-info-here
If you had an event which suddenly disappeared, don't bother reinstalling as that doesn't seem to make any changes, try logging out of your Facebook, close the game, reopen and sign in again.
