Losing gifts friends have sent me

My pc is not exactly new, though I have the requirements needed, latest edition of flash etc. Sometimes games of all kinds will crush whenever. My problem is that when I reload the game (candy crush saga specifically)  all messages, lives given from friends, are gone. Why would this happen, if I haven't yet accepted them?

It's always been that way on PC, if the session is closed or restarted, any unopened messages are wiped. The only place where messages can be stored for a short while is on Mobile and Tablet.
