Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Jelly

since updating the apps and ipad my mother cannot connect properly to play the games, they cut off either before loading or after shes done 1 level. We have done everything with the ipad to try and sort this but nothing works, anyone know why they are doing this?

I know that the older iPhones and iPads are not supported anymore, like the iPad 2 for example.
