I have no been able to play since two updates ago on my iPad.

I have no been able to play since two updates ago on my iPad. It will start to load the game, but then somewhere in the process, it glitches and closes the app altogether. Sometimes it happens when I hit the "play" button, other times it happens when I try to select a level to play.

Some of the older iPads are no longer supported. You can read about it here. There are also some troubleshooting steps which might help you as well.
