Cannot collect orange candies

Why is it now virtually impossible to collect candies in Dexter's Delight? If the level is not completed then when I go to quit so I can try again I get a message saying i'll lose all the orange candies I collected unless I continue. This means I would have to use all my gold bars and then pay for more just to get enough orange candies to earn a bonus. This is ridiculous, please explain why it has changed.

That's how it's always worked, if you don't complete the level you don't get to keep the orange candies you've collected. http://candycrush.wikia.com/wiki/Dexter's_Delight

Ah, I see. Dexter's Delight is a different challenge to other previous 'collect the orange/blue/red candy' challenges where there was a time limit but it let you keep the candies even if you failed the level.
