Why does Candy Crush keep crashing

Candy Crush keeps crashing...have followed all suggestions and still crashes...1) home/power button to restart....2) uninstall and reinstall ..... 3) 2 presses home button and side swipe....I don't connect to Facebook to play etc.....try at least 8-9 times day for past 2 weeks...no success...soon I will delete permanently....really not happy....

Did you update the app in the past month on an iPad 2? The newest version(s) won't play on the iPad 2. Let me know if that's the case.

No, didn't update the app...started crashing after iPad OS update....but according to posts...I am certainly not the only one. Also, followed advice and re-installed, so therefore would be latest version..I also have over 28 Gb free space on iPad.

The Candy Crush app stopped working for me on my iPad 2 after the latest update (1.87). I too followed all the suggestions but the newest Candy Crush update is simply too RAM-intensive for the iPad 2. It's not a question of disk space but rather RAM. Thankfully I had an older version on my iPod. If you have a device with an older version of Candy Crush or a friend who has it, I can explain how to get the older version on your iPad so it works again. If not, I don't mind sharing the file, it should work since it's a free app. It's also possible (don't hold your breath though) that either King and/or Apple will sort the problem out.
