What happened to the striped candy contest on Candy Crush Saga?

I have been playing the contest since Friday and have accumulated over 5000 striped candies. I was in clear first place and then... nothing. The contest has disappeared (over 30 hours left) as have the weekly chests. This is incredibly infuriating, especially if I've spent hours on this for nothing.

There seems to be an issue with Facebook connection recently, the events and promotions all run through being connected to Facebook or Kingdom so it's probably causing some issues. I tried to play when I had a spare minute just now and the contest popped up. I seem to have come in second plave, but it hangs up forever on One Moment Calculating the Results.

I have the same issue. I ended in 1st place in my group but the dial just spins saying "calculating results."

Same here, I ended 2nd place in my group, but the dial just spins saying "calculating results!!! please let us know what is going on?????

It would seem King is dragging its heels trying to resolve this issue. I played a lot with the hope of securing extra boosters, looks like I'm not going to be rewarded for doing so!
