Can't play Candy Crush or Candy Crush Soda

For weeks I've been unable to play Candy Crush or Candy Crush Soda. I tap on the app and it opens, gives me my daily prize, shows me my levels but when I tap on my level, then tap on "play", the app closes and brings me back to the home screen.
I have restarted my iPod, checked for current updates, checked for iOS updates, deleted the app and reloaded. I'm getting the same result.
Please help me to play my games again! I am using an iPod Touch.

Guess that's the end of playing Candy Crush or any other King games. Disappointing, but onwards and forwards.

The iPod touch is no longer supported. This means that there is no guarantee that the game will run/perform as normal. You can read about it here:
