I'm running latest version of iOS on my iPad. Today's Candy Crush update stalled during installation. The icon has been dark and says "installing" for about 10 hours now. It is showing as an outstanding update in the AppStore, but several attempts to reinstall it have failed.
Do you know how much free memory you've got available on your iPad?
Over 3Gb, and Candy Crush is <500Mb. I switched off the iPad overnight and the following day the dark Candy Crush icon had disappeared completely - no Candy Crush!
I installed the pending download which finally worked and Candy Crush was restored with no loss of data, fortunately. So the problem is solved, if not the mystery of what caused the problem. Thanks for your response, anyway!
