Would I be able to play Candy Crush if I replace my iPad2 with an IPad Air2?

I I used to play Candy Crush with my iPad 2 but I cannot any longer. It crashes in the middle of a game. I have read that the operating system is not enough now for the game.  Would the operating system that comes with an iPad Air 2 be enough to handle the game?
