Why is game choosing my boosters?

Playing on my phone. When I start a game it is using one of my boosters that it just chooses by itself. I am not clicking on it to use so the game is wasting them. I've lost over 10 bombs, over 10 wrapped candies and a few fish.  Why is it automatically picking them for me? I don't want to play any more as it's very frustrating. Is this a way for them to get more money? I lose my rewards and have to buy more?
