Cant play the game

For over a week now I have been unable to play Candy Crush. As soon as I open the app it freezes before I can press play. I've tried clearing the cache, the data and uninstalling it and it still freezes at the same point. I have Galaxy S5 and the Candy Crush Soda plays just fine. What is it that can be done to fix the issues?

I tried all of these steps before, but tried again and it still doesn't work. Unfortunately, I'm over trying to get this game to work... so I will no longer need any help. I'm permanently uninstalling. Thanks for your help!
