What are the bonus ships? What are the differences? What do they do?

I see a bonus ship if I don't lose a life. I don't understand the differences between them or see and bonus during the levels
There are different colors.....what does each one mean? I can't find a definition anywhere like there is for the boosters. Unless I've missed it...

When you play a level and win you earn a bonus booster that automatically appears when beginning the next level you play ( I believe it's a color bomb). If you also when the next consecutive level of play then you earn an additional boosters that will again automatically appear on the next level you play, and so-on and so-on. However, if you lose the level then you lose your free booster(s) you accumumlated and you have to start over earning free boosters. It's a great feature and the boosters are free. In my opinion this is one of the best features added to play. Hope I understood your questioin and this answered it.

So.....Whatever is in the little bubble in the booster ship is what is included? Are they on the game at the start up? Or do they show up randomly throughout the level? I'm waiting for help move on.
