Why do I keep getting kicked back to the latest level?

I am replaying levels to collect sugar drops. Inevitably, I get kicked back right back to the top, to the latest level. Then I have to scroll down several hundred levels to get back to where I was playing. It happens over and over. Surely it's not that hard for your programmers to fix this issue....is it? The game is less and less fun all the time.
