How can I restore purchased gold bars lost when I upgraded from old iPad to new iPad Pro?

I understand gold bars are not transferable across devices; I can't transfer from phone to pad or from mobile to web. However, I did not realize that rule applies when I simply replace my iPad with a newer version of the same device.  Stated another way, I've just restored Candy Crush on my replacement iPad from my old iPad.  Can I have my gold bars, purchased through the Piggy Bank, on my new iPad Pro?
