Not receiving +5 lives in new star ranking feature on Candy Crush Saga Windows 10 game

I've ranked up to number 6 with the new feature, once I got a message that I received +5 and a green frame around my picture. I thought that meant lives but none were added. Could you explain what the +5 was and help correct the problem if it should have been lives added? I play on PC and mobile
