I updated my phone number and lost all progress

I recently updated my phone number because the game prompted me to. It had me put in my phone number in order to connect to Facebook to get my lives friends have sent. I was disconnected from the game and haven't been able to reconnect to get my account back. When I connect to Facebook I am back at level 1. I was well over 1000 before. Please help!
