Unable to ask for lives. Screen never comes up

I have had this problem for months.  I have a kindle fire brand new.  I installed the app and connected to Facebook, have my levels and gold bars, but it seems that I am unable to ask for lives in app.  The pop up screen that allows you to ask for lives does notcome up at all.  I have done repeatedly all the suggestions given on your website and looked at the questions posted, yet none are like what I am having trouble with. I only play it on my kindle fire.  Is this going to be fixed?
