HELP! Why am I losing Gold Bars?

I had 30+ Gold Bars. I noticed it went down once and thought it was because I accidentally hit the button to extend life. Then I recently lost more gold bars twice. Now, I am down to 13. It took me a long time to accumulate these bars. Why are they disappearing? Can I get them back?

Please note that the boosters are saved to your device and not the game data, so you can use them when offline too. This does mean that any updates, crashes or device changes can cause these items to be lost. For this reason, we do not recommend storing too many of the won boosters as these can indeed be lost unlike Gold Bars. Were any of the gold bars purchased or were they all free from playing the game? I can elevate this to a King Admin who can look into your account to see what's going on.

I don’t think I purchased any of them. If I had, it was by accident. Appreciate the reply and for looking into it. I did not know there was a possibility of losing them through crashes or updates. I don’t recall this happening. The losses were very close together (in time).
