Why are there problems when I want to extend the gameplay and use my coins?

When I want to extend game play and click the button to use 10 coins, I get bounced to the menu to purchase coins, etc. I have to click the button three times to extend the game. AND, it has taken 10 coins three times twice now. I have lost coins that I have paid for. I does not always take coins for each of the clicks, but it has done it twice now.
