Can I also suggest that you keep a careful eye on emails that you would have had when you made purchases from apple in future. Also note though, that apple have a nasty habit of not taking payments out at the time that you make the purchase, but sometimes it can take days for the payments to come out and if you have made more than one purchase over a few days, sometimes it lumps them together. So it might not be that you have been overcharged but rather apple have been condensing payments. I have been caught out with that several times.
