Unable to collect gum drops

I keep getting an error message to connect in order to collect rewards. Am I doing something wrong? I play on my iPhone

    Hi MeMe. I am unsure if this is a glitch but can you try clearing the cache on your phone to see if that helps? Let me know. Thanks!
