Repeating levels

levels keep repeating both on the app and the facebook version. I have the most up to date version on my phone. what's the deal? How do I fix this?

I have experienced this as well I have just completed level 1759 and I remember the same level earlier in the game. Similar situations had happened throughout the game, but I thought it was my mind playing tricks, but now that I have seen this thread, I'm not so sure.

I get that the game is constantly updated and changed, but to have people repeat levels, especially hards ones, is just bang out of order. This really needs to be sorted out.

It’s not a test, it’s a marketing ploy/mind game to keep you playing longer and lose more lives or more boosters, therefore buy more. When you’re winning and are going though hard levels (I’m almost at 5000) they show the retry button only or the retry and the next button together, but since your brain is focused on “keep winning” and on play fast because some of your boosters may be “timed”, you don’t notice you are pressing the retry button. I make myself aware of it most of the time, but eventually I’m doing really well and I have a lot of boosters and I forget and boom, they get me again! I don’t think King is going to change that.

Another repeat on 1950. I just updated the app last night. I'm trying to compete in the space race and it gets super agitating when I have to repeat hard levels that I've already beaten. It seems unfair when others don't have to do that.

So, it's a test, but on what? On how to mess up with a game? Because, they've succeeded in it, they're messing up big time. And it's been a month already now. That's just an excuse. (If I go buy a new vacuümcleaner, it's been tested already. No need to do that again, unless it's broken). Just a tip from a Dutch lady.

Me too. They were absolutely awful levels to play the first time around and now I’m having to do them again and using up valuable boosters. I’ve just had 4 out of 6 levels being repeats and it utterly sucks and makes playing pointless.
What is going on?!?! 🤬😡🤬😡

I had to use multiple lives and boosts to pass levels I’ve already beaten. This kinda thing makes me not wanna play anymore.

One example of a level that was changed to an exact repeat of another level is 3842. It's an exact repeat of 3629.

Both levels show up like this for me on Windows 10 PC and Iphone. The same day that I discovered that, another player checked on their phone, and 3842 looks like this, which matches up to videos I found online:

I agree with you @José_Savelkoul but I haven't heard a thing except that it's a test. Believe me I would like to know what the reasoning behind this test is too but I haven't gotten any answer yet.

Since hitting level 3100 or around there, I’ve had repeated levels from earlier in the game. I know I have played them before, they are ones that I hated playing, took so long to get past and made me mental!! Why are levels repeated? Is it laziness of the game designers? Whyyyyyy?

Please do get your act together at King's, stop making excuses, and please do start to test things yourself before releasing. I just got hold of 7 print screens from a player showing completely different levels with the same game play. The only difference that I saw was the candy colors had changed. I did post them to the community manager so I am waiting to hear if there is anything else they can tell us about this.

hi @heitman19Your problem has been solved. You can restart the device and open the game again. Check out the recent updates again.

Hi @heitman19, are you seeing the exact same layout on more than one level?

I've had the same levels show up more than once. I'll google the level number and it looks nothing like what I see on my app or on facebook. I end up just having to play through it, but I don't always win on the first go and lose lives. For example level 1799 was a level I had previously played; on my app it was one where I had to get two cherries (on on each side) down to the bottom, but when I googled what that level was supposed to look like it was a level that you had to get a certain score on.

Hi @heitman19, the studio is going back down to some lower levels and updating them. The reason why they are different when doing a Google search is because the video creators do these videos when the levels are first released. The studio monitors these levels and sometimes they have to "tweak" them so they don't always match what you are seeing and now that they are going down to some older levels they are adding the new blockers and taking away the old. In some levels they are completely changed. A couple of weeks ago a player wrote to say that the level that she was trying to do did not have jellies like it showed in the videos. So that was a level that was completely changed.

Sorry Elsa, but Heitman19 is absolutely right here. Lots of levels, and I really mean lots, just have been duplicated. So yes, the same lay-out twice. And I think, it's really time to wake up now. I know, you're just a volunteer messenger, and so am I (as admin of the Candy Crush Saga All Helpgroup, I'm also speaking for the ones that aren't able to contact you). But please, besides getting this sorted, do feel free to share this with the boss behind Candy Crush Saga. I'm truly disappointed in the way things go. Maybe it is of help to you if I tell you this started around the 12th of February. It's not affecting everyone, but a group of people. I just don't understand anymore what's going on. An alarmbell needs to ring here...
