How to add King.com account to Candy Crush progress on iPad?

I am at a high level on Candy Crush. I created a King account but I don't know how to connect/sync this King account to my Candy Crush on my device. I don't think that logging into my King account on my iPad syncs it... Is there a way to do it without Facebook? Thanks in advance!
