I can't send or receive lives from friends - I’m invisible

I can’t send or receive lives from friends. This happened about a week ago. The following message pops up when my friends try to send me lives....does not resolve to a valid user ID how can I resolve this?

Hello,  I use Apple iPad and play the games via Facebook.  I never had a problem before and notice in the forum lots of other people have problems with lives.  I can’t get a screen shot but I cut and paste the message shown below.
Error does not resolve to a valid user ID
