Not receiving free lives

Since I downloaded candy crush on my new phone I haven't been able to receive my free lives from my friends and I've lost all my saved lives. Is there an error somewhere in the app?

I can't get the lives to move on to the next level. THREE months and counting and when I tell the company their solution weeks later is to turn the game into a coding mess and you get even more frustrated. They fix the coding, but all I get now when trying to solve why the help requests are not going out and not receiving any they give me an email on HOW ARE WE DOING.  Not solving the issue and fed up.

This is happening to me as well. Since I've got my Sony Xperia, I can't see lives that people have sent me

Yet they seem to be blaming the players and sending the same message over and over again.  They are a broken record and no one from the company is paying attention here or we would have seen progress.

Beyond that now and the fact that non mods/admins are replying tells me they don't care to help. Just send us over here hoping we go away.  They keep sending the same email with the type above the line to reply and you can not so they ignore when you send it back with an answer that is not above the line.
