    Hello @Patti-3 Welcome back to the Candy Crush section of our friendly King Community :) 

    There could be an internet connection or server issue with your game!!  What device are you using to play the game? 

    You could try -- Force close the App --> Clear the cookies / cache --> Restart the device after shutting it down for 2 minutes, and see if the game gets back to normality!

    As if by magic, it's working again LOL! 
    It must have been a server error somewhere. I'm using the app on S9. 
    Strange.....
