Dexter context: secret of getting color bombs

How come some users get a LOT (20,000) of color bombs just after one day of dexter candy contest.

3309 gives you a ton of CB's. I scored over 34,000 the first time I played it. now we play it to win Dexter and only get 1 point each CB but in the last 24 hours I have scored 10,000+ with no problems all at 1 point per CB.
