Why am I loosing lives?

When I started my game today People had sent me 7 lives, but I was only able to claim 5 of them. Tonight, I had 4 waiting, but on claiming them I only got 1. What happened?

    Come on. Be logical in your response. You send lives, people respons and send you a life back. So the same thing happened today. I had 7 lives from friends, I collected 5 but only got 4. Then we then I went to collect the other two I only got 1. You owe me at least 8 now.
