When I hit the candy box to try to select a candy, It says can't connect to server. Everything else in Candy crush is working fine I can't understand what's wrong.

Try turning off your device and restarting see if this helps also make sure you game version is upto date

This was fixed a few weeks ago already, please update the app to get the fix installed like @Freddy_Falkner advised.
