Loss of lives on level

So, I was able to beat level 2725.

Then the prompt comes to play again... It's the same freaking level - - 2725.

So I exit. It costs me a life.

Play prompt comes up, I hit play, I'm back in level 2725 again. WTH?

So I exit again. It costs me another life.

2 lives lost in the space of seconds. Now, I'm out of lives. WTH King? What kind of game does this?

You owe me two lives or more (this has happened before).

Did you replay the level and were able to pass it then? Or does it keep you stuck on the level?
