Hello everyone - part of the problem may actually be with the King servers. They recently added a button in the game to easily direct players to the community. This has dramatically increased the load on their servers, so they may also be experiencing problems, which is why you may have sporadic connectivity issues. However they are definitely working on a solution and hopefully things will be better soon. Please be patient.

^ Going with that explanation, the solution is obvious: remove the community link from the game to stop overloading the game.
geez, I get preoccupied with remote work for the past month only to return to a big mess in the game. lol
(No I do not experience the issue in this thread, but I sympathize with those who do)
