Why do the levels get harder as you proceed?

The game is becoming harder and harder. In the last few weeks, I used to pass around 30 phases. This week I passed just 3 phases. And I used to win lots of boosters. Now, it's being really hard to get the boosters. Even the booster wheel is not the same anymore. I'm almost reaching 5000, I'm playing candy crush since 2012 and this is the first time that I'm thinking of giving up.

There is a mix of difficulty for sure. I am going back to get either 3 stars or sugar stars on old levels, they seem super easy now but were very challenging at the time. 🦄🦄🦄
