Lives received from Facebook friends are notifications sent in Facebook. They're held in your profile and delivered into the game once per notification.
This means that if you update Facebook, change your profile, reinstall the Facebook app or even update its app software, those Facebook notifications may get lost, as they've been delivered and cleared from the queue. While it is possible to store in-game messages from your friends, due to these factors outside our control, we cannot guarantee that they will remain on your device indefinitely.
Lives can also be lost through an update to the game, your own device or by restarting your device, which clears a certain amount of memory, depending on your device. We therefore recommend limiting the number of messages and lives that you save; a full mailbox can also affect the functionality of the game.

Hi @valerie67 stored lives (and boosters too) are saved locally on your device so you can use them when the game is offline. Once lost they cannot be recovered I'm afraid. Since they take up space in your device memory, as Kiara recommends, it's advisable not to store many messages and lives to preserve game functionality.

All you lost was just Live's notifications, and notifications are converted to live when you accept them. However, not every notification will change to live's because there are some lives requests from friends. These notifications are stored locally in the device memory and may be lost for various reasons as mentioned above.
There is no need to be frustrated as live is also available for free and you can ask your friends for countless live.😊

May I know whether you have accepted all the 70 lives when you're low in lives? If yes, unfortunately you only get maximum 5 lives per game even though you've accepted all the 70 lives as it can't be accumulated to your live bar. However, it can remained stored in your mailbox as long as you left it unchecked/unaccepted.
