We need more details to know exactly which challenge are you asking. But i guess if you are asking about tiffi beach challenge where lower level players have more advantage then higher level players. Many players have already raised this issue and it is known.
But if other than this please feedback us.

Maybe their team is still testing this new feature on first time that means it's still not complete to be fixed.
This new feature wants to target sugar stars (blue stars) that it's counted. I hope this answer! 😊

I am like you and on the last level of candy crush. so every week i get the 45 levels so i know what you mean when it comes to some of the features, just think it is something we have to put up with as it can also work other way round. Hard to sperate millions of people into different groups of what level they are on. would be nice if a work around could be found

I understand that prizes can be collected in other ways, but we are not on an equal footing with other players who have tracks for collecting stars. There should be another model to be equal. The meaning of the competition should be that we all have the same opportunities. Thank you.
