The Chocolate Box is in the Test Group so we cannot say for sure that you will always find this feature.
The Fun Event menu returns when the game is regular. Probably no event is currently active for you so the menu is not available.
Keep playing the game, your fun event menu will return.

A fair few people are experiencing this problem at the moment and think is was mainly due to a Facebook platform update.
All i can suggest at the moment is to check you Facebook permission settings. go to Facebook settings , webs and apps and check all your game and notification settings are set to active
Hopefully this will solve your problem, or this issue will be resolved soon
As for the features nobody gets all the features available in the game, they are given to randomly selected groups of people. so this could just mean your not in that group at present but you could be in the future.They can also be missing due to temporary problems
To make sure your getting the features available to you, keep your game upto date and log out and restart your device regulary and also if playing via an internet browser clear you cache

Friends issue is being looked into and if you have done all the troubleshooting tips all you can do is be patient and await news on a fix for the issue

There is an issue with friends and lives on facebook and studios are working on it to have a fix.
About bonus events if you have done update tips please note that all the bonus events are divided among the players randomly by the system. No player is having all the events. These events or features are not permanent part of the game and may appear, disappear or simply be replaced any time.

You may encounter some temporary issues with your game due to some temporary error of Facebook. Also test features are not always available in the game so if your game does not have any other problem I will tell you to wait a little bit.
