if you aren’t allowed to exceed the max?

Are players permitted to delay acceptance of gifted lives—upon reaching a new rank—or do they just get lost?

Sorry but you can't delay accepting lives when you rank up. It happens to me sometimes that I have full lives. It also happened to me today that I had only one life when I ranked up so I was happy to go to full. It's that way it's always worked, just a part of the game. Have fun.

When you win 5 Lives in a an event it is always a reload of lives. Which means the in-game lives will reload to the full 5. Therefore these lives cannot be stored for later use.😊
