Thanks for providing the screenshot. For your information, I got that message too for my booster wheel and chocolate box. Usually, I will close off that message, continue playing and go back and claim again. It normally fixes itself after a while.
If the above doesn't work, do try and disconnect your device from the internet, wait for several seconds or more and reconnect back to the internet after that. Go back to the event tab and see if you can access the feature again.
