Free boosters and lives for Ads!

I noticed that recently I made a purchase of gift card for Candy Crush. It was first time in last four years since I am playing candy crush. From that week, I stopped getting free boosters or lives at all. Is it that if we purchase for game, we stop getting free boosters. It's disappointing.
