Inconsistent Moves/level

Recently I was struggling with 8462. When this happens I sometimes go to YouTube to see how others passed the level to see if I’m missing something. For my level 8462, I am given 23 moves which has been nearly impossible. The 2 games I watched dated January 2020 had 42 moves and the other 32 moves. No wonder I was struggling with 23. My app says it’s currently up to date. Why do I only have 23 moves when clearly others have more?

Plus, the current version is 22 moves
Spawning rate, vertical striped candy spawn 1 every 6 moves.
The method is "make more combinations"
The cascades are very important.
Remove the popcorns/liquorice shells are very helpful for you.
