Hello,
I don't think this is duplicated, it's 2 different things, since there are other ways to have less time to get extra lives.
Answering you on this, earning trophies (silver and up) on each episode decreases the time you need to wait to get an extra life. Also, there are some events that gift you infinite lives for a certain period of time too. Other than that, sometimes you can watch adds to earn extra lives, or just straight up buy them :) Hope this helps?
