It could be that. Or that the designing team took the complaints of the players who preferred gold seriously and decided to scrap the boosters for good. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

@Ditte I would happily take your coconut wheel for my eight gold as you can't buy any booster for eight gold bars. I would have to win or come second at least two more times before I can buy the two lollipop hammers I have become accustomed to. That represents at least thirty levels of playing though.

@Alienscar I've got 559 wheels, so they're not very valuable to me. Plenty of ways to get them and other boosters apart from the paintbrush and partybooster. No other ways to get gold.

Hi @Nix66 and other Crushers wondering about the episode races. I just wanted to report I just won my episode race and the gold bars were back for me!
For my third straight win I got 25 of them. Perhaps they heard everyone saying they would love to get the gold bars again. I am happy about it because they come in so handy on those levels where you just need one or two moves more to finish. That particular situation seems to happen quite often!

Hello @Nix66 I am glad that you have finally got your gold back.
I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but winning eight or ten gold does not in my mind compare favourably to winning two Colour Bombs or two Lollipop Hammers. I can't buy any booster for eight or ten gold so I will have to win two/three Races before I can afford even one booster. That is thirty levels of play!
I think I must be missing something as a lot of people seem to use the gold to buy moves. I would think that if you are just one or two moves away winning then a simple free switch and hammer would work just as well as more moves. As I am not at the levels that you and nnarkis are playing I imagine I must be missing the point.
I wouldn't mind winning the 25 gold that @nnarkis gets though.
