Fast Race -- Top Prize Gold Bar Amount Changes Midway Through Race

When I started my race, it said I could win the top prize of 25 gold bars if I finished first. I guess I'm getting that amount because I have come in 1st place the last 3 races. Now, when I log in to play, it shows the top prize as only 5 gold bars.

How can there be a decrease in 20 gold bars in the middle of the race?? That is very unfair!!
