@Crazy Cat Lad @LindQ I have now finished this week's levels. My entire weekly experience was again ruined by an "Oops" after 1 move on Level 9263. I suppose that is better than last week when I got "Oops" without even making a move. What an absolute joke ๐คฌ
Anyhow, at least I enjoyed seeing Samantha the frog on quite a few levels. This broke the boredom of the Rainbow Rapids levels.
And like @Albert_Heinrich I enjoyed the levels with quite a lot of timed candies, which is reminiscent of the lower levels. Also Levels 9266 and 9292 had plenty of colour and were fun to play along with 9265.
I didn't experience any sticky levels and the only level that I missed first try was 9263 with the fraudulent "Oops" !!
I completed the 45 levels in around 3 hours playing time, however because of my loss of interest, this was spread over 9 hours.
All the levels featuring Samantha were good, but the 2 standouts were 9272 with Samantha as a target. I loved the tactics required. 9294 was outstanding with the tactics required to get Samantha's colour next to the speckled bomb, then regimentally eliminating the 8 cherries encased by impregnable licorice barriers, while ensuring the rest of the target cherries are moved to the bottom of the centre section.
Hopefully the "Oops" factor will be a thing of the past next week ๐ค
Hi Peter, I would love to know under what circumstances you got your Oops on this level. The first move made should remove the top rainbow twists, since they are all connected and only one layer. The level should then be open and the bottom would open up in the next few moves. I would love to know how this happened!
@LindQ Unfortunately, I can't remember, but the board had virtually no candies left and therefore the top rainbow twists were not removed. As I had somehow lost my candy necklace during the week ??, I would have started the level with a striped candy from the second level I beat on my first attempt + I would have had the "Select Boosters" all ticked. Whether these replaced the green candies, I don't know ?? I know I only played 1 move.
In fact, I think the bottom section may have opened and the top didn't ????? Possibly I combined a wrapped candy (purple or blue) and colour bomb near the bottom of the board ??
I wish I had taken a screen shot, but I was that upset I forgot all about it.
Maybe, if Oops levels are going to persist, "Select Boosters" should not be available.
We do sometimes disable PGB on levels that could possibly create Oopses, but we also don't want to hinder players from using the boosters they want, so it's always a balance. I will definitely look into this, we might have to redesign the board or turn of PGB to avoid boosters to spawn in inconveniently. I'm sorry this happened to you again, Peter. I will get a fix in ASAP ๐
We have redesigned the board to help avoid an Oops, so soon there should be a less risky version out! This doesn't seem to have been an every case Oops, it just looks like you got very unlucky with the placement of boosters ๐ But no one else should experience the same thing now luckily.
We also did a tweak to 9304 to make it a bit easier.
Did not get stuck on any levels this week. Did not get the "Oops" on level 9263.
Finished the new levels in 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours over 2 days. Stop and go so many times cannot be sure?
My favorite level was 9267. It had one of those color combos that tickled my fancy. Continuous candy bombs. Oh Yeah!
I will play 9292 again it was a whole lotta fun. Wrapped candies be good for me on this one.
