Why is the game still offering rewards from collecting candy chronicles when the timer has expired?

I also had another problem but very strange. I was playing a super hard level and at the top it said "beat this level to earn chronicles". After passing the level it said "sweet, found some, and i remember it ONLY showed 3/8 of the chronicles. I closed the thumbnail and checked again. It was still 8/8 found! Not 3/8

Thanks @Spinnifix I usually never buy things, so if someone who purchases stuff from this game once i buy it, it should reset, right? I'm also wondering, is this possibily a glitch? The timer should reset once it reaches 0 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds
